During his recent visit to Malta, H.E. Chev Don Francisco de Borbon Graf von Hardenberg, the Grand Master of the Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem and Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of the Castello, based at Torri Lanzun in Mensija, San Ġwann, paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Dr George Vella, the President of Malta. The Grand Master was accompanied by Chev Paul Warren and Chev Carmel Bonello, respectively Commander and Former Commander of the Grand Commandery of the Castello.

The Grand Priory of England and Wales's Spring Investiture was held on Saturday 15th April 2023 at the Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene, Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, England. At 11.00am prompt, the procession entered the Church to the splendid organ voluntary ‘Tuba Tune, Op. 15’ by Craig Sellar Lang.

On the evening of Wednesday 5th of April, the Members of the Grand Bailiwick of Scotland gathered at Saint Nicholas United Free Church of Scotland in Broxburn for an Easter Service. This is the first time in many years that the Order has held an Easter Service outside of Edinburgh in the Church of one of our Senior Chaplains.

The service was conducted by the Chaplain General Rev Sandy MacDonald, who welcomed everyone and informed those gathered that due to ill health the Grand Baillie was unable to be with us. He then led the service in prayer.

Everybody is aware of the devastating earthquake which struck Turkey and Syria leaving thousands dead and injured, and even more homeless losing all their belongings including essential ones. Such disasters are ripe ground for further ones with the onset of infectious disease and malnutrition. The Office of the Grand Hospitaller encourages all jurisdictions to dig into their Charitable funds to support the innocent victims of this natural disaster.

In November 2022, PVBLIC Foundation hosted its annual private meeting with the senior leadership of Scholas Occurrentes and His Holiness Pope Francis, creator and promoter of the foundation, to officially bless and celebrate the Transforming Education Donor Fund’s support of global education projects. The Grand Master of the Order of St Lazarus, HE Don Francisco de Borbón von Hardenberg was present, accompanied by PVBLIC Foundation Executive Chairman, Sergio Fernández de Córdova de Veyga, and PVBLIC Foundation President Stephen Keppel.

On a chilly but sunny Saturday 28th of January members of the Grand Bailiwick of Scotland gathered in the lovely setting of Holy Trinity Scottish Episcopal Church in Stirling to celebrate this important day in the life of the 0rder.

On December 2nd & 3rd 2022, in Athens, in an atmosphere of brotherhood and following our Order’s principles and protocol, the annual celebrations of the Hellenic Grand Priory took place

This year's event was honoured by the presence of the 50th Grand Master H.E. Chevalier Francisco de Borbon Graf von Hardenberg GCLJ-J and of the Grand Master Emeritus H.H. Don Francisco de Borbon y Escasany 5th Duke of Seville and Grandee of Spain.

The programme included:

On the occasion of the Feast of the Epiphany (6 January), the historical procession of the Magi was held in Milan.

The procession is made up of volunteers, wearing precious period costumes, and commemorates the journey of the Magi, with the final homage paid to the Holy Family.

Arrangements for the pilgrimage, which will take place from 20-30 April 2023 have now been confirmed, and may be found in the attached brochure.

There are still places available and members of the Order from all jurisdictions, and their families and friends, are warmly invited to take part.

Despite daily difficulties, the activities of the members of the Grand Priory of Italy continue unabated.
