On Sunday 25 January, the Grand Bailiwick of Sicily welcomed the Grand Master, Don Francisco de Borbón Graf von Hardenberg GCLJ, and members of the Order to Monreale, for an event of international importance that saw the investiture of new Knights and the installation of the new Ecclesiastical Grand Prior of the Order, Bishop Lindsay Urwin.
The day opened in the Cathedral of Santa Maria Nuova with the official installation of Bishop Lindsay Urwin as Ecclesiastical Grand Prior. Afterwards there was a procession, attended by the Archbishop of Monreale, Gualtiero Isacchi, and the EGP Emeritus, Mgr Michele Pennisi, which reached the Lazarite Church of the Sacred Heart for the rite of investitures, presided over by Lieutenant General Pietro Luigi Matta and in the presence of the Grand Master.
