This Award is an honorary distinction presented to individuals whose lives and achievements reflect an outstanding commitment to philanthropy, humanitarian service, and the support of those most in need. The award recognises exceptional dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable communities and promoting the values of compassion, solidarity, and social responsibility. It is awarded by the multi-billion international hospitality and transport group Grupo Zehn. The company hosts annual awards with highly respected international corporations such as Volvo, Huawei, and Mumm.

This distinction is conferred upon individuals who, through their personal, professional, or charitable endeavours, have made a significant and lasting contribution to humanitarian causes. Their efforts demonstrate an unwavering commitment to serving others, advancing charitable initiatives, and creating a meaningful and positive impact on society.

Rather than recognising a single achievement, the Humanitarian Service Award honours a sustained record of generosity, leadership, and selfless service, celebrating those whose actions embody the highest ideals of philanthropy, human dignity, and compassion.

The Grand Master was delighted with the Award and has paid tribute to our St Lazarus community:

“As I said in my speech, I receive this distinction in the name of the Order of St Lazarus. It is the voluntary labour of many who do this work out of service to the Order and from their hearts. I am blessed to lead such an amazing organisation. This is all thanks to all of our members and our dedication to serve.”
