Last February, the Ladies and Knights of the Grand Priory of Italy, along with other volunteer organizations, contributed to a gathering of first-aid necessities (food, clothing, and hygiene products) in Milan, an initiative promoted by Archbishop Avondios of the Orthodox Church.
In recent days, the Archbishop announced that he had participated in the distribution of supplies—thanks in part to a large network of local volunteers and vehicles—to the Kyiv Civil Hospital, the Kyiv Military Hospital, the Kharkiv Civil Hospital, and the residents of Bucha.
At the end of this significant operation, which was carried out in Ukrainian territory—still a theatre of war—he thanked everyone who had collaborated, and with particular affection, the Dames and Knights of the Grand Priory of Italy, who are always available and responsive to the plight of those most in need.
