The autumn National Investiture of the Grand Priory of England & Wales will be held on Saturday October 21 in St. Paul's Church, Knightsbridge, courtesy of the Vicar, the Rev'd Canon Alan Gyle SChLJ and in the presence of the Grand Master Emeritus, HH The Duke of Seville GCLJ. The service will start at 11am. At the end of the Investiture Ceremony, Chev. David Woolf, currently a Deputy Bailiff and Commander of Wales, will be installed as the new Bailiff of the Grand Priory by the Grand Master Emeritus. Full details of the Investiture and celebration lunch may be downloaded here.
The 2023 Chapter-General of the Jurisdiction will be held on Friday October 20 at 4pm in the Parish Room of St Paul's, Knightsbridge. This meeting marks the end of the term of office of our Bailiff, HE Chev. Charles Holloway GCLJ, as he retires at the Investiture the following day. Canon Alan Gyle has generously agreed to sponsor a champagne reception in the Vicarage Garden at the end of the Chapter-General to mark Charles's retirement.
We hope that as many members as possible will be able to attend this important 'AGM' of the Order and to join in wishing Charles and Lynne a happy and long retirement.
