On Sunday, November 9, in Cesano Boscone (Milan), celebrations were held for the celebration of “IV November, National Unity and Armed Forces Day”.
It was a moment dedicated to reflection and gratitude for the sacrifices made by our soldiers, who gave their lives for freedom. A day of commemoration to remember the end of World War I and honour those who lost their lives. Organised by the Municipal Administration and the Association of Combatants and Veterans, it was supported logistically by the Grand Priory of Italy of the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem.
Political, religious and military authorities were in attendance, along with a delegation of Knights led by General of Carabinieri Army, Basilio Viola KCLJ Grand Prior of Italy.
The official cortege, marching through the city streets accompanied by a large crowd, reached the Cemetery and the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, where laurel wreaths were laid.
The authorities appreciated and highlighted the presence of the Knights of St. Lazarus, expressing their gratitude for their constant commitment to helping others.
