Made up of figures dressed in precious period costumes, the procession started from Milan Cathedral (the Duomo) and reached the Basilica of Sant'Eustorgio, where the Three Kings paid homage to the living nativity scene.  The Basilica of Sant'Eustorgio is one of the city's most important sites and houses the relics of the Three Wise Men, which continue to be objects of worship and devotion.

The Borgo San Lazzaro Flag Throwers Group (Asti) were also present and, as in previous years, the organisers requested the presence of members of the Grand Priory of Italy to support security efforts during the historical procession and within the Basilica. Led by the Grand

Prior of Italy, H.E. Generale Basilio Viola GCLJ, the Dames and Knights were commended by the civil and religious authorities in attendance for their dedication and outstanding service.

For some years now, this tradition has also been accompanied by a moment of solidarity: the Fornai (Bakers) of Milan association donated 1,000 blessed loaves to the faithful present, distributed by the volunteers of "Pane in piazza" with the help of the Dames and Knights of the Grand Priory of Italy. This is an initiative of the Capuchin Missionaries to contribute to their missionary projects.
