Grand Priory of Italy - a new charity shop

On Saturday 7 December 2024, a delegation of Dames and Knights of the Grand Priory of Italy attended the opening of the "Bottega della Carità" (charity shop) in Mortara (Pavia).

The Bottega della Carità was born from the desire of the Abbot, Father Evloghios Legnazzi, and the Parish Priest, Father Kirill, of the Orthodox Monastery of Saints James and Philip in Mortara, to extend and spread the work of Christian charity that the Fathers have been carrying out for years, bringing food and basic necessities to the homes of poor and needy families on a weekly basis.

The Ladies and Knights contributed by donating parcels of essential necessities, cakes, Christmas sweets and children's clothes.

The hope is that Christmas will be a time of serenity for those who are in need.

This project will continue to grow in the future, in the common path of Christian charity.
