The Grand Prior
As early as March 26th, wishing that our Order would contribute to serving its hospitaller vocation, our Grand Prior addressed all of you to suggest that you respond to the call for blood donation issued by the French Blood Establishment, as donors are becoming rarer in this period of pandemic. This appeal remains relevant.

Commandery of Sainte-Baume
Chevalier Docteur Cyrille Gourjault, KLJ, left his practice in the south of France to go to Paris to the CHU Bichat and serve in the infectious diseases department. The Commander, Chevalier Philippe-Henri Buffe de Mornas, KCLJ, sent him his best wishes and those of the members of the Commandery with his friendly and fraternal respect, emphasizing that his commitment is worthy of the Order's creators.

Commandery of Auvergne
The Commandery of Auvergne is involved in three areas : the manufacture of cloth masks, the distribution of masks for the population of Chamalières and the distribution of green meals for the needy in collaboration with the traders' association.

Commandery of Corsica
Faced with the Covid-19 and faithful to their hospital and charitable vocation, the Members, Knights and Ladies of the Corsican Commandery, faced with the shortage of medical equipment in Corsica, undertook to have protective masks made at the rate of about sixty per day. The masks were made on a voluntary basis by a friend of the Order, Mrs Corinne Mozziconacci, whom the Commandery thanks and to whom it expresses all its gratitude. To date, 800 masks have been distributed free of charge and without distinction
to those who wished to receive them, including the staff of the "Alzheimer's Consultation" in Ajaccio.

Also noteworthy is the initiative relayed by many media, notably on the France 2 television news, of Father Georges Nicoli, priest of the church of Notre-Dame de Lourdes in Bastia and Chaplain of the Commandery ofCorsica, who displayed, on each of the now empty seats of his church, a photograph of each of his parishioners.
