HUNGARY - The Grand Priory distributed in Miscolc meals to downcast citizens in need
The Hungarian Jurisdiction of the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem and the Commandery of Miskolc, North Hungary organized a meal distribution for the downcast, homeless  and poor citizens of Miskolc and the surroundings who are in need.
On the 4th of April 2013 at midday, when the bells of the Church of Avas struck twelve o’clock, more than 150 people in need, including the homeless, gathered in the most beautiful square of the town of Miskolc, on the area in front of Lajos Kossuth statue.
 

His Excellency the Archbishop Father Ede Koós, the commissioner of the Eger principal diocese, and our Lazarus Senior-Chaplain Father Béla Mosolygó, SChLJ , Commander of the Lazarus Commandery of North Hungary blessed the meals before they were distributed. Afterwards, everyone present prayed jointly the „Grace before meals”, pursuant to the catholic traditions.

FRANCE - 50th Anniversary of the annual Pilgrimage to Boigny – Pilgrims Medal
The Grand Priory of France invites members of the Order for the annual Pilgrimage of the Order of Saint Lazarus to Boigny.  This year the Order will celebrate the 50th annversary of the pilgrimage. The event will take place from 15th - 16th June 2013. The Grand Priory of France is once again the annual host of this spiritual event.

The  pilgrimsmedal is issued to commenmorate the 50th pilgrimage of the Order in Boigny and shows illustrations about the historical titular seat of the Order

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, to commemorate this special event the Grand Priory of France has issued a Pilgrims Medal which can be ordered by all members of the Order.

ROM - Pope Francis meets with representatives of Religious Ecumenical Churches – ecumenism being close to him.
 Pope Francis has called for a continuance of ecumenism and cooperation within the Church, "I reiterate my firm intention to continue on the path of ecumenical dialogue" and has announced his intention to promote ecumenism among Christians with  "the friendship and respect" among religions as an ecumenical and interreligous .  The occasion was received at the Vatican for representatives of Christian Churches  and also included those of the Jewish, Muslim, and other religious faiths.(video-link)

The Invitation was accepted by the followers of other high-Orthodox and Protestant dignitaries, including many women, the representatives of Judaism, Islam and other religions. Again and again in the spirit of welcome between Pope Francis and his guests were symbolised by embraces. .....
