As a part of the Jubilee Year of Mercy announced by Pope Francis last year , the members of the Hungarian Jurisdiction of the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem raised HUF 200.000 for the Éltes Mátyás Primary School and Special Education Methodological Institutionin Miskolc. This sum enabled them to make a gift of computer equipment and other devices suitable for the development of logical capacities for the use of the disabled children at the school.
This is not the first occasion that the Order has helped people in need in the town of Miskolc, since the charity programme known as the Carnival of the Poor is also linked to their name.

Only a few people in Malawi can afford to see a doctor for medical care or treatment, so the work undertaken by the AHU of the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus, under the direction of Sandor Balogh CLJ, is of vital importance.
The medical mission volunteers, Dr. Edina Palinkas, Dr. Anna Jakkel and the AHU`s coordinator, Dorottya Horvath, are kept busy day and night helping to heal the sick.
