On Saturday November 15, The Priory of the Kingdom of Belgium & the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg organized a Charity concert in the St.-Martin church in the historical city of Arlon. Arlon use to host a former leprosy-house of the Order. The Concert expressed the differences in cultures between Belgium and their former protectorate Burundi. All revenues of the Concert were for two projects: the Burgundies H.E.C.-Project (main project of the Priory) and the creation of a dispensary in Lokokalama (Democratic Republic of Congo).

“…when I was in jail you visited me” Matthew 25:36

The Southern Commandery of the Grand Priory of America partnered with Cornerstone Builders, an outreach ministry of New Orleans Catholic Charities and a local Baptist congregation, to provide two large motor coaches to bring family members to visit their loved ones incarcerated in Louisiana prisons. Many of the involved families lack the resources to make a long trip to prisons located in remote areas around the state.  As result families lose touch with the incarcerated individual which is especially painful at Christmas. The St. Lazarus sponsored trips took place on the Saturday before Christmas.

Dr. Sándor Pellek CLJ Hospitaller is a medical lieutenant-colonel, a surgeon that's recognized all over the world. He spent time on the military front in Afghanistan, as a painter, his pictures have been presented at many exhibitions, and he writes poems.  While he was working in dangerous conditions, he made several pictures to attire the attention of the world towards the awful conditions people have to live in. His poems and pictures give a clear view on those situations.
