Welcomes were from the Delegation Hospitaller, Nila Halloran (CLJ); Delegation Delegate, Saint Patrick Hospital Representative; LOPA Representative & Southern Eye Bank Representative. The highlights of the program were the donor family speaker, followed by the recipient speaker and then the Blessing and lighting of the donor candle. Members of the Order then lit their smaller candles from it and proceeded to light the participants candles. Once completed, the reading of donor names began. After each name was read, a bell was sounded and if that family was present, they stood. The whole program was very moving and many participants were brought to tears. Also, appropriate musical interludes were played throughout the program.

About 75 people turned out, which was similar to last year’s turn out. Refreshments were served after the celebration. This Celebration was a tremendous success and well received. This year in addition to making the Newspaper, we were on the 9PM and 10PM local news channel on the night of the celebration.
