Once again, the Grand Priory of Hungary has organized its well-known charity event ’The Carnival of the Poor’ This year it took place in Miskolc on  February 28th  2017 and, as sual, attracted the interest of local TV and media.

The goal of this charity programme is to enable the needy people living in Borsod county to celebrate the last day of the carnival period, which is also known by the Christian tradition as Shrove Tuesday.

 Countess Éva Nyáry DGCLJ-J Grand Prior, Albert Sigmond KLJ Chancellor from Budapest and members of the Commandary of Miskolc were present. Our priest blessed the food and shared blessings with the people present. Our fellow knight Gábor Mohácsi OLJ, who had organised the evening’s event, assisted by András Hollósy OLJ, distributed  250 portions of hot food.  Artist,Jancsó Dora from  Miskolc National Theatre starred in the show .

Countess Éva Nyáry Grand Prior and András Hollósy gave an interview to the local media about the event and informed the journalists about the goals and charity work of our Order of Knights.
