Before lunch, members enjoyed a social drink in the lounge where they chatted and reminisced over the work of the Grand Baillie. The Baillie H.E. The Chev Ron Partington GCLJ, GCMLJ, SCrLJ welcomed all to the occasion and invited the Chancellor H.E. The Chev Roy Scott GCLJ, CMLJ, GCrLJ to say grace before the lunch was served.

Following lunch the Commander of Dalriada Commandery Gordon Price, followed by The Chev Peter Rae the Commander of the East of Scotland Commandery, led the tributes to the Grand Baillie .  Greetings were given by Confrere Norman McPherson MLJ on behalf of the members in Aberdeen and the North of Scotland, before the presentation of a gift by the Prior The Rt. Hon. Viscount Gough, GCLJ,KMLJ.SCrLJ  to the Grand Baillie.

In reply to comments made, John thanked the members for the lovely gift and support that he had received over the years as Grand Baillie; he wished them and the Order well in the years ahead and offered his support in the future.

A vote of thanks was given by the Chancellor who thanked all who had attended, the speakers, hotel staff and our Grand Bailie and his wife. He reminded members of the forthcoming Coffee Moring 21st January  in Edinburgh and the Outing to Loch Katrine on 4th August.
