Activities
Membership stands at some thirty and as all live within a few miles of each other attendance is good, but unfortunately the average age of members is rather high and so we are not able to take on much active work.
The Commandery devotes at least half of the funds raised to leprosy and the rest to other chasrities, mostly around Malta. For four years we have been rebuilding the Tumbe Leprosarium, Msambweni, Mombasa, Kenya, installing electricity, building lavatories, re-roofing the buildings, laying on water etc. at a cost of ten thousand dollars. We also support a Medical Clinic in Bethlehem, Israel, and are investigating the requirements of a Leprosarium in Tanga, Tanzania, from whom we have been approached for assistance.
